One photograph album, measuring about 7″ x 5″, containing 14 leaves, with the rectos used only. Most snapshots measure about 2″ x 2″ or slightly smaller. Several different processes were used to make the prints, though we note a number of silver gelatin and albumen prints, and, most notably, four cyanotypes. Most photographs in very good or better condition; a few overexposed, and one leaf contains some water damage, though this is not widespread. The snapshots are mostly family portraits or images of home interiors and street scenes from Lowell, and Boston, Massachusetts. A number of these are identified, though most of the captions are simply first names. The cyanotypes capture a backyard, a young boy named John on a front porch, a distant shot of what looks like a track and field sporting event, and a rather large march/parade, probably in Lowell or Boston. The last thirteen photographs appear to have been taken in Puerto Rico (based on one of the captions), and we note a few elaborate Spanish colonial buildings and palm trees captured by the photographer.
