Scotty’s Sled Shed Component Kit for Heathkit IT-5283 Signal Tracers. This is a full component kit that contains a replacement for every capacitor, diode and transistor, (excluding the potentiometers).This even includes a capacitor and diode for the original test probe (or use to make your own probe). Some of the original transistors are NLA (no longer available) and an NTE substitute has been provided. Even some of the NTE transistors are now becoming obsolete. Grab one of these kits while the supplies last. I cannot guarantee how long it will be before NTE discontinues and there is no substitute. This kit simplifies the process for restoration. One-purchase and you have all of the basic components that would be normally out of spec. I can provide you components for making probes upon request. Or you can order Mike Kent’s probe kit at: https://www.ebay.com/itm/332748488227. The stock probe is just plain lack luster and poorly shielded. After market probes like Mike’s are much better. You can buy his or I can sell you the pieces for a DIY. Sometimes 1/2 watts are out of stock and/or a 1 watt is cheaper.Or the blues ones are out of stock and I have to get black ones.These parts are aftermarket.
