2014 Puma Vacuero w/ Black Micarta Handles & Combo Edge Clip Point Blade 840680 Click images to enlarge Description 2014 Puma 840680 Vacuero with Black & Gray Micarta Handle Scales & Combo Edge Clip Point Blade Black Leather Sheath Discontinued and Hard to Find Model! FAST, FREE & FULLY INSURED PRIORITY MAIL SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE USA!! This knife is new. However, this knife is also a survivor of a fire that ravaged one of my distributor’s warehouses. The knife was not damaged in the fire, but the box was not salvagable, and therefore was discarded. You can still detect the VERY faint smell of smoke on the sheath and it does have a few dents on it that probably happened in the shipping process as well as two spots where heat has curled the leather slightly (one at the throat of the sheath and the other on the retention strap). The grommet at the bottom and the two rivets on the back of the sheath also show some corrosion, almost certainly caused by high moisture levels in the air after the fire was put out. The knife is still perfectly usable and it would be worth your while to check with Puma to see if they could supply a replacement sheath for the knife if you wanted a ”perfect” one. Photos shown are of the EXACT knife and sheath you will receive. A serious knife for any forward operative, the Puma Vacuero fixed blade knife can stand up to any task. A large 6.625″ stainless steel clip point blade provides plenty of reach in close quarters combat. A partially serrated blade edge allows for flexibility when cutting through rope, straps, webbing or other fibrous materials. Contoured black micarta handle scales feature individual finger grooves for a solid grip in hand with a deep index finger choil for additional safety. An integrated lanyard hole with glass break/skull crusher for blunt attacks. Easily carried into the field with an embossed black leather belt sheath with black nylon leg ties. This is a 2014 Puma 840680 Vacuero model with Black and Gray Micarta scales. This knife was made in 2014 by Puma, as evidenced by the 14/RC date stamp on the 6.625″ long clip point combo edge blade. The blade serrations are very fine. The knife measures 11.5″ overall, and comes with a beautiful black leather sheath. The knife also has the Puma Proof Mark that ALL genuine Puma knives should have — a small dot that was made with a diamond pointed needle as part of the blade’s Rockwell hardness testing — on the right side of the blade (about halfway down the flat that lies above the serrations). If your Puma knife doesn’t have this proof mark, it’s NOT a genuine Puma knife! All weights and measurements are approximate.
